Schuylkill Township
is located along the Schuylkill River
on the eastern border of Chester County
in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The township covers 9.44 square miles.
Population at the 2000 census was 6,960.

The Schuylkill River forms the township's
northern boundary, and Mount Misery
(also known as Valley Forge Mountain)
is the southern boundary. To the east is
Valley Forge National Historical Park.
The Borough of Phoenixville lies to the north
and west.

Schuylkill Township Residents Only. Only leaf waste and tree debris (no branches over 6" in diameter) can be accepted at the site.

Online Payment of Township Taxes by Credit Card
Residents may now pay Township property taxes (not County or School District taxes) by credit card at the Official Payments website. The site has a full explanation of the methods and an option to cancel if a resident decides not to use the service. The Schuylkill Township jurisdiction code is 4876. A service fee is applied and is calculated at the site.

Gay Street Bridge Closing
The Gay Street/Route 113 Bridge in Phoenixville Borough, Chester County, is scheduled to close Wednesday (April 2) for the construction of a new bridge over French Creek. More information >>>
